Minnie mouse, also called Minerva was an animated character invented as Mickey mouse’s girl friend by Ub Iwerks and Walt Disney. After she started featuring in the mickey mouse series, she became an instant hit with the children. She featured in many of mickey mouse films, the clubhouse series and in the comic books as well.
